A gamer since an Atari 800 XL crossed his house’s door, Andrés learned quite early that there are feelings time cannot erase, whether you experience them watching a movie, listening to a song, or escaping from Planet Zebes after defeating the evil mechanical lifeform known as Mother Brain. When he is not fixing retro consoles or enjoying a video game at a slow pace, Andrés works as both translator and editor on AAA videogames franchises.
BÁRBARA RIVERA - LinkedIn
Bárbara considers herself a coffee addict, sometimes a potato, and always terrified of pigeons (it's a long story). She discovered videogames thanks to her dad who took her to the arcades when she was just a toddler, and taught her how to play pinball and shoot 'em ups, like 1942. Her mother's contribution was watching lots and lots of anime with her daughter, who slowly turned into a weeb (thanks to that, now she's a part-time Vtuber). Nowadays Bárbara loves JRPGs and Visual Novels, and her dream is to work translating any game of those genres.
MAXIMILIANO ROJAS - LinkedIn
Max knew that video games were his passion from the moment he received his first console, a Super Nintendo, in 1996. After many adventures, he discovered that not only did he want to accompany the characters on their journeys, but he also wanted to understand their dialogues. This awakened his curiosity for languages and he did not rest until he fully understood what the game wanted to convey. Nowadays he dedicates himself to the translation and dubbing of video games so that many more people can experience the thrill and wonder of these stories.
SEBASTIÁN ERASMY - LinkedIn
Sebastian is a weeaboo, a gamer, and a seeker of knowledge. He loves languages and he is fascinated by how they reflect the identity of each culture. Naturally, these traits led to him becoming a translator when it was time to choose his destiny. These days, he lives in Romania, where he moved to meet a vampire, befriend a werewolf, and work in Ubisoft’s localization department. You can usually find him gaming, cuddling with his cats, or trying to train a murder of crows to do his bidding.
